CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NORTH BRISBANE OPEN WOMEN, YOUTH MEN AND YOUTH WOMEN REGIONAL TEAMS WHO COMPETED ON THE WEEKEND IN THE 2011 SENIOR VIKINGS FUTSAL REGIONALS TOURNAMENT.
The North Brisbane regional teams did extremely well this year with all three senior teams making it into the grand final. Unfortunately we were beaten off the gold in all three divisions but all teams did extremely well throughout the whole tournament to get that far. All players played well, considerable mention to the youth women who had to play up in the open womens competition and for only a young side they did extremely well in the competition.

What is Futsal?
Futsal is 5 – a – side indoor soccer. Futsal is an abbreviation of the Portuguese phrase 'futebol de salon', which in English means, “football in a large room'. Futsal is generally played on wooden or rubber surfaces, but due to the expanding growth of Futsal over the years and the lack of courts available across the country, Futsal has branched out now plays on synthetic surfaces and artificial grass at local hockey Centre and bowling greens.
Who can play Futsal?
North Brisbane Futsal competitions cater for both the keen footballers and for those who just wish to have a little fun with some friends. There are competitions available for juniors and seniors, males and females of all ages starting from as young as 4 years!!!

North Brisbane Futsal is made up of five clubs that currently exist north of the Brisbane River up until the border of the Moreton Bay Regional Shire:
Wavell Heights - Wavell Heights Bowls Club, 175 Edinburgh Castle Road, Wavell Heights
Enoggera - Enoggera Bowls Club, 72 Pickering Street, Enoggera.
Spring Hill - St Joseph's College, Rogers Street, Spring Hill.
Kenmore - Kenmore State High School, Mabb Street, Kenmore.
Moggill - Moggill State School, Moggill Rd, Moggill
